3D Scanning & Reverse Engineering: Industrial Casing
3D Scanning the casing
The casing required 3D scanning in two parts, and each part was 3D scanned front and back ready for rebuilding in SolidWorks.
The 3D scanning was carried out at our London HQ. Each 3D scan was cleaned up in VX Model and CAD entities were created using the mesh as a master. These entities were ready to be imported into Solid Works for reverse engineering.
The client required a Solid Works model so we used the 3D scan and measuring calipers to ensure the model would be as accurate as possible.
The Final Reverse Engineered File
From initial 3D scan, through reverse engineering, then ready for 3D design progression in Solid Works
We continue to work throughout the current pandemic and observe social distancing at all times. 3D SCANNING: You can send objects to us for 3D scanning, or we can collect. SCULPTURE: We continue to design and build following government guidelines. 3D DESIGN: We continue to design remotely.
